In the Story event, which was organized for the first time in 2018 by volunteer Boğaziçi University students within the Boğaziçi Executives Foundation with the motto "There is so much to tell" and organized for the fourth time this year, our Head of Philosophy Department Assoc. Dr. Enis Doko shared his life story and academic adventure with the audience. On October 22, 2023, Dr. Doko, who was a speaker at the event held at the Garanti Cultural Center in Istanbul, told his life story and his path to becoming a successful academic and scientist with projections from his life.
Born in Macedonia and graduated from Middle East Technical University (METU), Departments of Physics and Philosophy with a degree in 2010, Assoc. Dr. Enis Doko talked about his academic career in philosophy after graduating from the physics department, which he graduated from after a difficult life story on the road he started with the dream of becoming a television repairman as a child, mentioning the experiences he gained on this journey. Our lecturer, who inspires young people with his life and academic career, ended his speech by stating that all kinds of difficulties in life can be overcome with perseverance and that philosophy and interdisciplinary studies should be a corner of young people's lives.
