Our Philosophy Department Head Assoc. Enis Doko, who is the guest of Başakşehir Municipality Thought Academy Program, which aims to bring Başakşehir residents together with experts in their fields on social and cultural issues, gave a speech on the universe and human beings.
On January 22, 2024, Doko, who made the participants rethink the issue of human and universe by presenting different perspectives on the depths of the universe and human beings in the event held at Şehir Sanat, addressed the relationship between the universe and human beings from different angles in the event, which was well attended.
Expressing that some popular information about gravity is wrong, Assoc. Prof. Enis Doko stated that the things that glue particles together are called forces or interactions and that there are four forces that we know, and he touched upon the inaccuracy of the expressions we know as gravity or gravity. Underlining that masses attract each other, not the earth, Doko stated that the real thing is the strong and weak nuclear force and the electromagnetic force.
Doko also presented interesting and useful information about the beginning of the universe, history and evolution, and his speech continued with the interactive participation of the audience. Doko concluded his speech by underlining the necessity of rethinking our knowledge about the universe and human beings in the light of different perspectives and making these issues a part of our daily lives.
